My Craftsman Journey

After many years in the corporate world, I made a deliberate pivot at age 51 to focus on something that has been part of my life since elementary school. . .working with wood.

I’m a lifelong woodworker and unabashed wood nerd who finds beauty in grain patterns, imperfections, and the story behind each tree. I work primarily with locally sourced and fallen timber and use my sawmill to break each tree down. I aim to use as much of each tree as possible—turning raw material into both sculptural art and functional items for your home.

My work spans handcrafted home goods, custom commissions, and carved/sculptural pieces, each designed to highlight the natural character of the wood rather than hide it. No two pieces are ever the same, and that’s the point.

What I enjoy most is the problem-solving aspect—figuring out how form, function, and material can work together to create something lasting, useful, and meaningful.

I’m currently focused on growing my woodworking and sculptural practice, collaborating with clients on custom work, and continuing to explore how traditional craftsmanship fits into a modern world.
